The famous Savoyard, recognisable by his iconic black hat, is making a grand return to his native Megève in Haute-Savoie. He is setting up shop in the former Auberge de la Côte 2000 with his new restaurant, Rural by Marc Veyrat. More than just a restaurant, it's an epicurean concept born of a partnership with Moma Group, Edmond de Rothschild Heritage and the Four Seasons Megève Collection - a true alliance of excellence.

Since the start of the winter sports season, this new establishment, ideally located at the foot of the famous World Cup piste, has been attracting gourmets and mountain lovers alike. Whether for lunch or dinner, visitors flock to feast around large, convivial tables. On the menu: mixed platters of charcuterie and local cheeses, pizzas including the unmissable truffle version, plates of forgotten vegetables, and the famous Choron grilled rib of beef ‘like my friend Paul Bocuse’, so inscribed on the menu. This is authentic cuisine, steeped in nostalgia and sentiment, straight from the heart.

But far from being a melancholy place, Rural by Marc Veyrat is first and foremost a place to celebrate life and the joys of getting together with friends and family, surrounded by fir trees and snow-covered slopes. The atmosphere is festive and lively, changing throughout the day. From 3.30pm to 5pm, the vast terrace becomes the scene of musical entertainment thanks to a programme of DJs who keep diners buzzing in an electrifying atmosphere.
